2024-05-12 Spring Challenge

Although born in Disraeli, Quebec, Simon grew up in Calgary. He attended bilingual school and was involved in sports from a young age. In his spare time he enjoyed cross country skiing, alpine skiing, hockey and biking. He competed in triathlon, diving, volleyball, American football, rugby, and track and field. At 16, he suffered an ambition shattering injury that over time became a clear sign that an athletic career was no longer in his future. He gradually shifted his focus to becoming a massage therapist and in 2016, graduated from the Massage Therapy Diploma Program at Mount Royal University.
His manual therapy repertoire leverages glide, torsion, compression, temperature, shear, movement patterns, tissue tolerance, tissue length, and the nervous system. He applies these techniques in accordance with patient sensitivities to provide massage services which include:

  • Sports Massage
  • Relaxation / Light-Touch Massage
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Myofascial Release
  • IASTM
  • Injury Management + Rehab Exercise
  • Pre/post Operative Care

Over the past 10 years, he has treated a variety of patients in many different capacities. Notably Canadian track and field athletes at local and international competitions. For example the University of Calgary Dinos and Canadian Masters Athletes since 2023. In 2024 he attended the World Masters Athletics Championships as Team Canada RMT in Sweden.
This exposure has shaped his ability to consistently deliver high-quality massage both in clinic and in the world of high performance.
